The Gallery on the Grand announces its Grand Opening

Sept 27th 2001, Waterloo Ontario

David and Alison Burkett are pleased to announce that Gallery on the Grand, a new retail art and framing gallery, opened September 15, 2001.  They are located at 220 King Street North, Waterloo, across from Wilfrid Laurier University.

This multi-level, open gallery welcomes people of all ages to come and browse.  Gallery on the Grand features a variety of work by local, Canadian and international artists, including fine bronze wildlife sculpture by Loet Vanderveen, spectacular photographs of the Utah canyons by Michael Fatali, Chinese Woodcut Prints, limited edition prints by the Group of Seven, plus other originals, serigraphs, etchings, and monoprints.

They also carry accessories, such as hand-made luminettes (night lights), alpaca fur rugs, tapestries, and native pottery.  Inventory is kept current on their Web site at www.galleryonthegrand.com.

Gallery on the Grand has a large onsite framing workshop with advanced equipment to allow innovative framing displays to be done quickly and accurately.  An impressive selection of wood, gold leaf and metal frames is available, so clients are able to select the frame within their price range that best complements their art.  Displays of framed memorabilia, photos of earlier generations, and framed kid’s art show customers that framing can be used for more than just traditional pieces of art.

Companies and individuals are welcome to rent the gallery for receptions or private engagements. The Gallery can arrange caterers, bar service, musicians and flowers to make any occasion special.

Come out to the Grand Opening of Gallery on the Grand, Saturday, October 13, 2001, to see all they offer.
